MOTD: Birthday!

I didn’t take many photos of my makeup because I didn’t really have time but I will list the products and things below. I’ll also show you a few things I did.

This was the makeup:

Pretty bad lighting for makeup but as I said earlier, I didn’t have time to take a photo at home before I left. And, for those who don’t know, the guy in the second photo is my boyfriend ūüôā

GEO Princess Mimi in Almond Brown XMM-204 (available from Adelaide Little Lens)

I didn’t really do all that much for my birthday because my second year of university is coming to an end. I didn’t really plan much to do that day and I regret that a little bit but I still had a good time. I got free churros for my birthday from San Churro. You get 6 churros but there is only five in the photo because my boyfriend ate one before I could get my phone out to take the photo -_-
We had white chocolate and dark chocolate dipping sauce.

And later went to a French cafe called Le Carpe Diem. This crepe is called Berenice. I would highly recommend this cafe!

After that, I went home and we had birthday cake. So, it was a very sweet day and all I wanted was a piece of bland toast to balance out all of the sweets I’d consumed throughout the day!

Hope you are all doing well!

Review: GEO Princess Mimi in Almond Brown

I have another lens review for Adelaide Little Lens! This time it is for Geo Medical Princess Mimi in Almond Brown XMM-204* and I’m excited to tell you what I think of them ūüôā

This pair is from GEO Princess Mimi series, the other colours available are Seasame Grey, Chocolate Brown and Apple Green. This pair is the odd one out as the other colours have a different pattern.

Company: GEO Medical
Diameter: 14.2mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Water Content: 42%

Design: 3/5

I like the colour of this pair and the colour blends really well but I think that it is a little boring on my eye colour. I think that it would look a lot better on someone with brown eyes.

Enlargement: 4/5

This pair is only 14.2mm¬†but they make my eyes look pretty big because of the black rim around the edge. I think that because they are a smaller lens, it doesn’t make them look too unnatural. You could get away with wearing them without false lashes.

Comfort: 5/5

I love how these felt in my eye! These were just as comfortable as the Chocolate Brown version in this series. I wore them for 6 hours and even by the end it felt like I wasn’t wearing contacts and my eyes weren’t dry or anything. These would be¬†great for conventions and things where you know that you’ll have to wear them for long periods of time.

Overall: 4/5

I think this pair is a great pair to own. I don’t like them as much as the Chocolate Brown pair in the same series but I still think that these are worth purchasing, especially if you have brown eyes.

MOTD: Anna Sui Kaleidoscope of Color for Fall 2010

When I made videos on my Youtube channel, I tried to recreate this look and I was really unsatisfied with my attempt so I thought I would give it another go, with better tools and a better makeup brain. This has always been one of my favourite looks.

I’m wearing brown contacts for this look because I wanted to do a review for them. I know they aren’t the colour used in the photo but I thought these still looked pretty. I’m also disappointed about my lips because the lipstick I wore through the day stained my lips pink and I couldn’t correct the colour. The lipstick on its own is a perfect match for the one used in the picture.

Main Products used:

For Eyes:

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Inglot shadows – 20, 28, 48, 104R, 453, 488, 493
Models Prefer Kohl Eyeliner
Rimmel Eyeliner in Nude
Maybelline Falsies Flared in Black
Geo Princess Mimi lenses in Chocolate Brown

For Lips:
Revlon Just Enough Buff

For Cheeks:
The Balm Down Boy

Here is what I came up with:

Anna Sui 1

Anna Sui 2

Close ups!

Anna Sui 3

Anna Sui 4

Without lenses (I prefer it with my natural eye colour, so I thought I’d share what that looked like):

Anna Sui 5

From brow bone to lower eyelash the colours are:

Cinderella’s Dress blue – brow bone highlight (28)
Electric Blue – between crease and brow bone (20)
Teal – crease (104R)
Lavender – main lid colour (493)
Baby Pink – inner corner highlight (488)
Frosty White – inner corner highlight (453)
Mid-tone pink – lower lid (48)
The pink underneath the eye kinda blended with shadow (made from lighting) underneath the eye in the photo but in person, it was pretty obviously there.

This is still one of my favourite looks, it may have been for fall (Northern Hem) back in 2010 but I think this perfectly fits in with spring in Australia at the moment! It kind of reminds me of Easter and the pastel colours that are often in fashion around that time of year.

Hope you’re having a good day/night!

Review: GEO Princess Mimi in Chocolate Brown

I thought I’d better write up a review for my favourite lenses from my favourite lens shop, Adelaide Little Lens! I recommend these to anyone looking for brown lenses or anyone looking for some cute and comfy lenses because I can’t get enough of them and these are about to expire but I have a back up ūüėČ They’re that good!

This pair is from GEO Princess Mimi series, the other colours available are Seasame Grey, Almond Brown and Apple Green.

Company: GEO
Diameter: 15mm
Base Curve: 8.7mm
Water Content: 38%

One lens

No makeup

With makeup

(This makeup look will be in my next post)

Design: 5/5

As I said before, these are my favourite lenses and that’s because of how they blend with my blue-green eyes. There isn’t a harsh ring around the inner part, they just fade gradually into the clear centre. The black rim isn’t so harsh in these lenses either which is great, I love how they have little spikes that pass through the brown, it makes it look more natural. Or as natural as it gets for 15mm lenses haha.

Enlargement: 5/5

These make my eyes look really big and with the right makeup, they can look more natural and cute. Without makeup they sort of look a bit like Rumpelstiltskin eyes, but I don’t think I’d ever wear contacts without makeup so that won’t be an issue.

Comfort: 5/5

These contacts are really¬†comfortable. I usually cannot¬†feel them at all and I usually wear them for long periods of time. I don’t see any faults with these lenses.

Overall: 5/5

I really enjoy wearing these, I’ve worn them a lot¬†and I probably wont stop wearing them. They’re my go-to pair for lolita, cosplay and every day clothing. I really really love these contacts!
