Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals!
Yesterday and today, in the Southern Hemisphere, we are celebrating Ostara, the beginning of Spring! I’m so excited to finally be celebrating what I’m sure will be my most favourite of the pagan holidays. Today, I’m going to share a few ways to celebrate this period of the year and share an interesting fact about the holiday! I hope that you enjoy!
Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals!
Yesterday, I celebrated Imbolc, the Sabbat all about the first signs of spring appearing after the harsh winter. It is also known as Candlemas and is the basis for the well known celebration of Groundhog Day! Today’s look is inspired by light emerging from the depths of winter, light stars in the night sky! I really hope that you enjoy it and enjoy learning a little bit more about this holiday!
Hi guys, gals, and non-binary pals!
Welcome to my next installment of my pagan holiday makeup looks! Yesterday was the winter solstice, and I wanted to make a Yule inspired look to celebrate the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere! I also shared a little bit about the holiday in this post and I hope that you enjoy learning more about it!
Today is Samhain, the first day of the witches’ year! To celebrate, I’ve created a look inspired by the colours of the season, like I’ve done with previous seasons. As always, I’ll share a little bit about the holiday and share the products I’ve used! I hope that you enjoy!
Today, I’m going to share a few things that I’ve been up to but haven’t really advertised very much. Despite appearances, I don’t solely create crude photoshop images for my blog. I try to keep myself as busy as possible and I have a lot of creative outlets so I thought it might be time to actually show you what I’ve got going on outside of this blog! I hope that you enjoy!
Thanks to my great feedback from my Lughnasadh MOTD, I thought that I’d keep this series going and try and do a different look for each of the holidays this year! Mabon is the Autumn Equinox and is the second harvest festival of the year! I hope that you enjoy this look, I had a lot of fun wearing it!
Today and tomorrow, people across the Southern Hemisphere are celebrating Lughnasadh (Lammas), which celebrates the first harvest after the full moon! To celebrate, I’ve created a little MOTD and I’m also sharing something extra special at the end of the post! I really hope that you enjoy this excuse to celebrate a seasonal holiday!
Kat Von D Monarch Palette
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 – yellow shade
ELF Baked Highlight in Moonlight Pearls
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
NYX Blush in Taupe
Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose
I really wanted to use warm shades but specifically yellow because this time of year is all about wheat and Lammas essentially means ‘bread day’. In simpler times, by the time Lammas came around, people were really rationing what they had left of their food and Lughnasadh was a big feast time because it was the first harvest. The holiday represents abundance and the last rays of warm sun. We still have a bit of warm sun to go in Australia but definitely by Mabon, we will be feeling the cool weather! To celebrate the season, I did a bit of shopping and you bet I filmed some of it haha. I haven’t filmed anything in ages and this was really terrible so please excuse me but if you’d like to just hear my voice and see where I live, this will be the perfect video for you hahaha.
