So, since becoming vegetarian, I really wanted to think about the makeup and skincare that I was using. I know that being a vegetarian doesn’t eliminate all of the cruelty involved in my eating habits but in the effort to minimise the hurt that I’m creating, I wanted to try to start using majority cruelty free products. I’m not doing this to make myself better than anyone else. This is just a personal preference that I believe aligns with my personal beliefs.
I plan on making this a sort of series where I update you all on my progress and my planning. In this post, I am going to identify what brands in my collection are cruelty free and to what degree they are cruelty free (brand doesn’t test/sell in China, parent company doesn’t sell in China, vegan). A lot of brands don’t test but their parent company sells to countries (China) where it is law to test on animals, so you’re still more or less buying into cruelty. I hope that this is helpful, I am only including brands that I personally use so this isn’t everything that is cruelty free by any means. This is already going to be the longest post ever haha. I hope that you enjoy the post!
Sorry that this post is a bit late, I had a test to study for and didn’t plan my time very well! Today I want to share my makeup look that I wore for Father’s Day and I also have a little story to go with it and maybe you guys have some ideas to help me out!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Liner
CoverGirl Clump Crusher + Length
Shanghai Suzy – Miss Ally AMETHYST (Purchase here)
NYX Blush in Taupe Discontinued
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lavish Mauve
Essence In Bloom Highlighter Limited Edition
So, after dinner, we were all mucking around and one of my new false nails bent back too far and came un-stuck haha. No nail damage or anything. So I went to go reapply it and I spilt my nail glue (Alpha Cyanoacrylate) on to my Black Milk Tale As Old As Time dress. the dress now feels like a frisbee in the area that I spilt it and I’m not sure how to soften it. There’s not much that I can do because I can’t soak it, I can’t use acetone (nail polish remover) or anything you’d normally do to remove the glue. If you can think of anything that might save the dress, I’d appreciate it!
I hope that you enjoyed your Father’s Day celebrating your fathers or father figures. Here are some pictures of me and my father figures
