Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals!
Today, I wanted to share some things from my recent trip to Melbourne! It was my Nonna’s 70th birthday and my Mum, Aunt, Nonna and I took a trip to Melbourne to celebrate! We were there for four days and did some serious shopping. I really hope that you enjoy this post!
I have an incredibly exciting post to share with you today! If you’ve been following me for a little while, you might know that I’m very fond of cosplaying and I’m very fond of attending pop-culture conventions. Thanks to Oz Comic-Con, you can win a Family Weekend Pass, valued at $150 and valid for any city (Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney)!! Keep reading for more information and details on how to enter the giveaway!
Today’s look for Halloween Week is Coraline from one of my favourite books Coraline by Neil Gaiman if she had lost the challenge with the Other Mother and had to sew buttons on to her eyes. Another one of the creepier looks this week but this one is pretty easy so it’d definitely be a viable option for those who lack effort or lack time haha. I hope that you enjoy!
I knew I wanted to do one pretty cliche Halloween look and I thought I’d try my hand at a cracked doll with a bit of a twist. Dolls are inanimate objects but I wanted this look to be more gory for the sake of it being Halloween so I thought I’d make her a bit more alive by taking her eyes out and having her bleeding from her eye sockets! YUM. I hope that you enjoy the look!
Today I wanted to share with you my final costume that I wore to Adelaide’s Anime and Video Games Convention! As you may remember from my second NYX FACE Awards challenge, I was going to be cosplaying Boa Hancock from One Piece. This was my second year cosplaying an anime character and my seventh year in a row attending the convention. No matter what, I always attend AVCon because it has made such a positive impact on my life and pushes me to create costumes that I would otherwise have no need to create and therefore never experience the joys of people falling in love with you because you’re cosplaying a character that they love. Anyway, on to my look!
Disney is such a large part of my life and because of this, today is one of the most important days of the year. To celebrate 91 years of Disney goodness, I have decided to produce makeup looks based on my favourite characters! I’ve already dressed up as a few of the characters in the past, so there will be a few older photos but for the most part, I will be creating these from scratch.
From the oldest animated Disney movie to the newest, here are my Disney looks:
Snow White: ~Old Photo~
Tinkerbell (Peter Pan):
Penny (The Rescuers):
Ariel (The Little Mermaid):
Belle (Beauty and the Beast): ~old photo~
Scar (The Lion King):
Dr Facilier (The Princess And The Frog):
I had a lot of fun making these! I can make separate posts if people are interested in knowing how anything is done or what products were used.
Hope you enjoy Disney Day!
I did this look around Halloween because I was pretty bored and my favourite Halloween looks are really cutesy animal ones. Fawn/Deer looks super fun and fairly easy to do. There are still things I would change about this look but I am still pretty happy with the results.
When I was applying the brown to my forehead, it was really patchy and I was having a hard time getting an even coverage.
My eyebrows also didn’t turn out the way I had hoped because they were quite bushy 😥
Try to use liquid foundation because it will help the powders to stick better and last longer.
Use a brown that is more grey toned than orange otherwise you’ll end up looking more like a little oompa loompa.
If you wear contacts for this, put them in before putting on your makeup. But if you already wear contacts fairly regularly you’d know that 😉
My favourite part of this look was applying my eyeliner differently and doing the little white spots on my cheeks!
That’s it from me! If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment 🙂
