Review: Colourpop Fem Rosa Palette

Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals!

Today is finally the day to talk about the last palette that I received in my most recent Colourpop order! The Fem Rosa palette was actually the palette that sparked my order in the first place! I hope that you enjoy the review!

Review: Colourpop My Little Pony Palette

Hi guys, gals, and non-binary pals!

The day before Black Friday, like a fool, I placed an order with Colourpop and picked up a few of their palettes and lip products. If I’d just waited one more day I could have gotten discount but I wasn’t thinking and here we are. One of the palettes that I was after was the My Little Pony palette, a palette filled with colour, shimmer and nostalgia. I hope that you enjoy this review!

Journey to Cruelty Free #1

Hey guys!

So, since becoming vegetarian, I really wanted to think about the makeup and skincare that I was using. I know that being a vegetarian doesn’t eliminate all of the cruelty involved in my eating habits but in the effort to minimise the hurt that I’m creating, I wanted to try to start using majority cruelty free products. I’m not doing this to make myself better than anyone else. This is just a personal preference that I believe aligns with my personal beliefs.

I plan on making this a sort of series where I update you all on my progress and my planning. In this post, I am going to identify what brands in my collection are cruelty free and to what degree they are cruelty free (brand doesn’t test/sell in China, parent company doesn’t sell in China, vegan). A lot of brands don’t test but their parent company sells to countries (China) where it is law to test on animals, so you’re still more or less buying into cruelty. I hope that this is helpful, I am only including brands that I personally use so this isn’t everything that is cruelty free by any means. This is already going to be the longest post ever haha. I hope that you enjoy the post!

Glam Cthulhu Look

Hey guys!

I don’t talk about this a lot on my blog, in fact I think I’ve only talked about it once and it was around Christmas, but I love to play board games! They’ve become super popular lately and one of my favourite games to play is Fantasy Flight’s Eldritch Horror, based on fiction written by H.P. Lovecraft! It is a cooperative game that requires you to team up with friends to beat monsters, close gates, solve mysteries and gain items. This week, I went to a board games night at a friend’s house and I thought that it’d be fun to do my makeup inspired by the cosmic entity that is Cthulhu! I hope that you enjoy.

Liptember Week 3!

Hey guys!

Another week has passed and another set of lip colours has been worn. I cannot tell you how desperate I am to wear nude shades again hahaha. There have been so many pretty nudes that I’ve been wanting to wear but this is a challenge that I set myself and so I will stick to it! So once again, I’m going to show you my week of lip colours for Liptember and I’m also going to talk about what I’ve been able to talk about during this week. As per usual, you can learn more about Liptember here and you can donate here!

Day 15 – Colourpop – Jellies

Day 16 – Australis – Mash Up

Day 17 – Bourjois – Pink Pong

Day 18 – Australis – SAN-FRAN-DISCO

Day 19 – Me Now Long Lasting Lip Gloss – 25

Day 20 – Milani – Matte Confident (Purchase Here)

Day 21 – Maybelline – Hot Plum

This week I got to talk a little bit about every day things that are challenging for those with mental illness. Because I suffer from social anxiety, I am thankful for a lot of things and one thing that I am usually thankful for is self-service check outs. A friend of mine was saying that self-service check outs were losing jobs for people and they were a negative thing that has been introduced into our shopping experience, and there is nothing wrong with that opinion and if I didn’t deal with social anxiety, I might have the same view of that machine. I love self-service check outs because I am usually only holding a few items, I don’t require a bag and I don’t need to talk to anyone unless something goes wrong with the machine. I don’t have to worry about being awkward or if I’m having a really bad day and I just need to focus on myself, I don’t need to pretend to be chirpy to someone haha. They are also great for those who have a language barrier because when learning a language reading tends to be a stronger skill than speaking. But that’s a story for another time haha. Either way, I got to talk a little bit about mental health and spread a bit of knowledge to my peers.
