My Priceline 40% Sale List!

Hey guys!

Priceline’s 40% off sale starts TODAY and will finish at 11:59pm on the 19th of November and so in preparation, I wanted to make a list of things that I knew I wanted to pick up and that way, you can see what I really want to buy and it might give you some ideas for what you too might like to pick up! I don’t tend to go too crazy with these sales because I am quite frugal at times but if I know I need something, I won’t hold back haha. So, without further ado, let’s get into this list!

Face of Australia Face Base Primer

I’ve only heard good things about this and it has a better rating than my current primer so I am definitely going to have to pick this one up and give it a go!

Revlon ColorStay Foundation

I love this stuff but I really hate that Revlon test on animals and they have a lot of issues with the CEO making racist comments, so I try to not support them when I can but this foundation, for me, is the best in Priceline. I never buy it full price because it is one of the most expensive ones in Priceline. I also like the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation, which is less expensive and very good.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

I love this concealer because it is lightweight, it doesn’t crease if you set it properly and it has good pigmentation. It has an annoying brush on the tip, which is really unhygienic but I just put the concealer on my finger because I know my fingers are always clean when I do my makeup but it is still annoying haha. It is probably my favourite concealer at Priceline.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I also love this concealer. I wouldn’t say I love it as much as I love the Rimmel one but it is very popular and for good reason. I just hope that they have my shade in stock!

Austalis Fresh and Flawless Powder

I adore this powder. It is usually a bit yellow on me so sometimes I’ll opt for something else over it but now that we are coming up to the warmer months, it might suit me a little better as my body tans a little bit. This makes my face look smooth and airbrushed. I can’t get over the finish of it. And of course, Australis is cruelty-free, which is fantastic!

Australis Show Some Cheek Blush

This is a new product to the Australis line, I am really excited about these. I want to pick up a few of these colours and see how they compare to other blushes that I really love from Priceline!

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Eyeliner

I LOVE this eyeliner. I’ve talked about it on my blog before and never have I ever had such an easy eyeliner experience. I love using this liner because it is nice and black and it can give you a really thin line if you have a steady hand! I would definitely recommend this if you are in the market for a pen eyeliner.

Australis Extender Lash Mascara

This is a clear mascara that I use to set my eyebrows. At the moment, the one I have is super funky so I won’t be using it anymore until I get myself a new one. This stuff makes your eyebrows set like cement, they won’t move. I definitely would recommend picking this up if you’re in the market for a cheaper brow setting mascara.

Essence Lipliner

These usually only retail for $2 so they’re already super afforable and they’re really good! I am missing two shades so I will be looking to pick those up. Hopefully they won’t be sold out when I get there haha. They’re very popular, so if you want to pick these up, get in early or try to get them online.

Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick

I have a few of these already but I’d been meaning to pick up a few of the newer shades, including Mo Town!

I also want to pick up a new mascara, if you have any suggestions for a mascara from Priceline, let me know in the comments!

What are you planning on getting in the sale? Are you getting anything at all? Is your list too long to talk about? Hahaha.

MOTD: Marsala

I was so excited to make a look for this year’s Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala. I want to do two of these because this one is Marsala on the eyes and cheeks but I’d like to do one for Marsala lips too. We shall see.

I also thought that for this post, I’d write down ALL of the products I used for this, because lately I’ve been just writing lip and eye products.

Here is the look:

I also wanted an excuse to use NYX Macaron Lippie in Chambord, and I thought that I’d be doing a dark look as it is so I might as well just take it to the next level haha.

Here is a close up of the eyes:

For the eyes, I used:

ELF Shadow Primer
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette – Matt Garcia and Matt Wood
Shiro Cosmetics Loose Pigments – Women’s Weaponry and Ganondorf
Maybelline Hyperglossy Liner
Elizabeth Mott Big Mascara

For the face, I used:

Revlon Colorstay Oily/Combo skin in Ivory
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder
NYX Powder Blush in Taupe
ELF Blush in Blushing Rose
Maybelline Eyebrow Pencil
Australis Clear Brow Mascara

For the lips, I used:

NYX Macaron Lippie in Chambord (I’d recommend using a black liner with this lipstick)

BellaBox September 2014: What Did I receive?

I am again considering cancelling my subscription to Bellabox and this time its due to how long the boxes now take to get to its customers. I almost didn’t get this box in September and it is really disappointing that this company can’t deliver what they promise and also don’t really communicate if there is a shipping issue. Anyway, now that I’ve had my little rant, I’ll talk about this month’s box.

This month there was no blue box, standard for bellabox. They sent us this card inside the cardboard box explaining why there was no blue box.

I don’t particularly care, as long as my box is safe.

Here is what I got in my box:

bellabox september 4

When I first opened the box, I saw the neon hair ties and went “NOOOOOO”. I hate neon things, I love bright lipstick but that is as far as I go. I was happy to see lashes though and when I saw that the Tresemme product was for anti frizz I was pretty happy.

Neutrogena Makeup Wipes:

I’m happy to receive makeup wipes, especially from a decent brand like Neutrogena. They certainly aren’t an exciting product but they’re useful and you can never have too many! This sample gave 7 sheets, the full size is 25 sheets.

Value: $2.24 (RRP $7.99)

Gliders Hair Ties:

I’m sorry if you like neon colours, I just really don’t like them much at all. Hair ties are useful but I wouldn’t use them. I’ll just give them to my mum. I don’t know if they’re fantastic quality or anything.

Value: RRP $4.95

1000 Hour Lashes:

The style that I received were the Wicked Lush lashes and my friend received the Pin Up lashes, I want to swap with her because I like that style better but I’m very happy to receive new lashes! I wear lashes pretty regularly so this was a great addition to this month’s bellabox, but lashes certainly aren’t for everyone. I am glad that they chose lashes that came with glue though, I probably won’t use it but for people that don’t wear lashes regularly, this is a great way for people to try them out.

Value: RRP $9.95

Sleek Makeup Eye Dust:

This was the product I was most excited for. I’ve been wanting to try Sleek Makeup ever since I first played with it in a Sephora in France. It just sucks that I was given black. I said in one of my previous posts that I hate wearing black eyeshadow because its too dramatic for my liking. I had a look at the other colours available on the Sleek website and I’d have taken almost any other colour. However, I know I’ll use this with my Shiro Cosmetics Pigments, particularly the pigment called Mother of Dragons! I think that they would look really pretty together.  It said on the card that Sleek products are available on the BellaBox website, which so far isn’t true. I assume they will be available in October or November. I did go to the Sleek website to find the price, it might be in American dollar despite being from the UK, either way, they are a good price!

Here’s a swatch, you can see both the colour with light shining on the shadow and one without. I will probably buy some more of these.

Value: $4.49

In this box we received two bonus products, two samples.

Garnier Perfect Blur:

Garnier products break me out but I’ll probably still give this a go.

Value: $1.20 (RRP $16.95)

Revlon ColorStay Foundation:

This is my everyday foundation, I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. Its too bad that they sent me the Normal/Dry version in a colour that is too dark for me, I’ll probably have to throw it away because its useless to me.

Value: $1.75 (RRP $34.95)

Overall, I am okay with this box, I’m happy to have some products but there isn’t anything that excites me. BellaBox recently updated their website and I think that they have a better quiz now for your box, so I may start getting better boxes in the coming months, or at least I hope so. So, I will not cancel my subscription for next month. I just hope for better service in the future.

Total Value: $24.58 (RRP $79.28)

40% Off At Priceline

Priceline announced on the 10th of March that they would be having a two day 40% off day starting the 11th and finishing on the 12th of March. This didn’t leave me much room to save or to plan what I wanted to buy but I knew that I had a lot of things I’d really been wanting to try out.

My friend Zoe and I are uni buds and makeup buds and as soon as I found out about the sale I messaged her and said, ‘I sure hope you’re doing nothing after uni because we have very important business to attend to.’

I’ve been going through a constant battle with very oily skin and I knew that one of the reasons I can’t stay matte was due to my foundation. I’d been doing some research on Youtube and found the foundation I wanted, which funnily enough is the foundation my Mum uses, the only issue was it was R.R.P. $34.95AUD and I wasn’t willing to pay that amount for a ‘drug store’ foundation, no matter how good it was.

There are also a few of the MAC Lipstick dupes that I really wanted to purchase because I’d been eyeing them off for such a long time.

In the end I purchased:

  • Revlon ColorStay 24h Oily/Combination Foundation in Ivory
  • Revlon Lash Potion in Blackest Black
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coralberry
  • Maybelline Metal Colour Tattoo in Inked In Pink
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Starry Eyed

I paid $51 AUD with a coupon so the total would have been approximately $60 AUD

I had about fifteen items in my basket and then realised how much it was all going to cost and I ended up just getting what I really wanted. I also had the chance to swatch two dupes next to each other.
Revlon’s Black Cherry lipstick was in a limited edition package and I pretty much just wanted it for that reason and was finding it really hard to give up the lipstick. I also picked up Rimmel’s Starry Eyed because I know I’d written it down in my lipstick dupes for something. I swatched them next to each other to see which one I liked more and realised they were actually identical. The only difference was that Black Cherry was really patchy and didn’t look very nice swatched on my hand so I bought the cheaper and nicer alternative. A bit sad considering Revlon is my favourite brand for lip products.

Anyway that’s what I got in my 40% off Priceline haul!
