Review: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

I mentioned that I got this palette last week as a present and I was so so so excited to share it with you all. I’ve used it for a week now and I think I’ve made an opinion on this beautiful palette!

Here is the palette:

First of all, I love the packaging. I think that it is absolutely adorable. It is a little bit bulky for travel but its not too bad. The best part is that is smells like chocolate! From first glance at the shades, they all look beautiful and I can see potential eye looks immediately. Instant inspiration.

Here are my swatches, I swatched from top to bottom in columns, you will see what I mean. None of these swatches are on top of any primer.

L to R: Gilded Ganache, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut

Top: Milk Chocolate (pretty much invisible on my skin)
Middle: Marzipan, Semi-Sweet
Bottom: Crème Brulee, Haute Chocolate

L to R: Milk Chocolate, Strawberry Bon Bon, Cherry Cordial

Top: Black Cherry Truffle, Triple Fudge

Bottom: Candied Violet, Amaretto

Right: Champagne Truffle

I think that this palette is just beautiful. The only disappointing colour is Strawberry Bon Bon, its not very pigmented and you would really need something like NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to bring out the colour. My favourite colour in the palette is Marzipan! Its so perfect and for a bridal look, it would be the perfect lid colour. Even for other events, but the colour screams bridal.

Another cool thing about this palette is that the highlight shades are HUGE! They are what you would use most in a palette like this so it makes so much sense for them to be the biggest. I think that that was so smart of them. I also think that Champagne Truffle would be an awesome cheek highlight, and I’ve been testing that out recently and loving it.

I would definitely recommend having a look at this palette. I like it a lot more than my Naked 1 palette and not just because it smells like chocolate haha. I think that I like it more than the Naked 1 palette because this one isn’t just neutrals and this also has those massive highlight shades. This palette was my dream palette and it is pretty crazy now having it in real life to play with and enjoy. I plan on creating a few looks featuring this palette in the future, so if you are interested, keep an eye out!

I hope that you are all enjoying your day!
