‘Round and ’round like a horse on a Carousell

Hey guys!

Today, I’m going to be talking about an app that I think everyone who hoards things needs. I collect a lot of makeup and part of that is because I love it and part of it is because I want to talk about new things on my blog a lot but lately I’ve been watching A LOT of project pans, declutter, and minimalism videos on YouTube and I’ve become inspired to downsize my collection a bit. Especially with my Journey to Cruelty-Free. I’d originally been using Depop to try to sell some things but I never made much from it so I found a new app called Carousell and within the last week I made over $100+ so I just HAD to talk about it with you. This post isn’t sponsored, it’s just a friendly suggestion to those who want to make money and turn trash into treasure!

Zombie Beauty Tips!

Hey ghouls!

Are you tired of not being invited to parties because you’re “a rotted, blood-soaked legion of the undead”? Sick of going on date after date, only to have none of them ever return your phone calls?
Well! Ogle School and I are going to share with you how to get from monstrous to fabulous!

PROBLEM: Dark Under Eye Circles

12179839_10153481127447530_1637897217_n 12180071_10153481127467530_1118454305_n

SOLUTION:

  • At the stroke of midnight, enter the abandoned, haunted mansion at the top of the hill (use GPS for directions).
  • Place a spoon in the freezer/portal to demonic dimension.
  • After two minutes of fighting off the ghost of a 17th-century sea captain, remove the spoon from the freezer and gently rub it under each eye.

12170158_10153481149737530_2082063554_n

  • Get sucked into the demonic dimension with fabulous, flawless under-eyes.

PROBLEM: Sagging, Rotting Skin

12179536_10153481127472530_1167220568_n

SOLUTION:

  • Prep zombie skin with Bodyography’s Tinted Moisturizer
  • Apply an even layer of BB cream
  • Apply liquid foundation, followed by powder foundation.
  • Apply yellow-toned brightening powder to set makeup and smooth texture.
  • Eat brains with tight, perfect skin. (Yum!)

PROBLEM: Bloodshot Eyes

12180147_10153481127462530_2063413639_n

There were no funny tricks for this one, that’s my real anxiety-ridden uni student bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep!

SOLUTION:

  • Commission a witch during the lunar solstice to cast an anti-bloodshot spell on you.
  • Sell your eternal soul to the devil in exchange for clear, bright eyes.
  • Use eyedrops.
  • Chant “Bloody Mary” three times in front of a mirror. When she appears, ask if she has any tips.

PROBLEM: Organs Spilling Out of Your Body

SOLUTION:

12180071_10153481127372530_1007594479_n

  • Spanx.

PROBLEM: Hair-loss

12167881_10153481127492530_1849090406_n

SOLUTION:

  • Rub 1/4 cup of coconut oil into your scalp.
  • Repeat as needed.
  • Make your own cute DIY wig with the hair of your victims (see Pinterest for fashion-forward styling tips).

Styled to perfection ❤

PROBLEM: Blood-Stained Teeth

 12170618_10153481127502530_1437151834_n

SOLUTION:

  • Avoid the harsh chemicals in whitening strips by opting, instead, for a baking soda-based toothpaste.
  • Switch out your regular floss for the teeth-whitening kind.
  • Just roll with it. Chunky jewelry and blood-stained teeth are this season’s must-have accessories.

And now for the big reveal! After all of these helpful tips, I’ve gone from monstrous to fabulous!

MOTD: Father’s Day

Hey guys!

Sorry that this post is a bit late, I had a test to study for and didn’t plan my time very well! Today I want to share my makeup look that I wore for Father’s Day and I also have a little story to go with it and maybe you guys have some ideas to help me out!

So, after dinner, we were all mucking around and one of my new false nails bent back too far and came un-stuck haha. No nail damage or anything. So I went to go reapply it and I spilt my nail glue (Alpha Cyanoacrylate) on to my Black Milk Tale As Old As Time dress. the dress now feels like a frisbee in the area that I spilt it and I’m not sure how to soften it. There’s not much that I can do because I can’t soak it, I can’t use acetone (nail polish remover) or anything you’d normally do to remove the glue. If you can think of anything that might save the dress, I’d appreciate it!

I hope that you enjoyed your Father’s Day celebrating your fathers or father figures. Here are some pictures of me and my father figures

Clowning Around for the Royal Adelaide Show!

Hey guys!

Today is the first day of the Royal Adelaide Show and to celebrate, I thought that I’d do a Clown-type of look! I don’t go to the Royal Show much because it isn’t really my thing, but I love the art, fashion and garden things that are on during the week and a half that the event is on. I also love the petting zoo because I get to pet little piggies ❤

People from all over South Australia come to the Royal Adelaide Show and I just really wanted an excuse to do some fun makeup because I’d been missing it a bit!

pink-divider-no-background-md

I was so set on wearing this blue wig because it is the only clown length wig that I own but I cut a forehead fringe into it so that I would wear it more regularly and that covered up the little design on my eyebrows so I pushed away the fringe so that you could see it better.

I did my first sucessful cut crease with this look and now that I know how to do it really well, I know I’m going to be doing this kind of makeup a lot. I was going to recreate one of my favourite clowns, Buggy the Clown, from One Piece but I lacked confidence to do a really sucessful crossbones on my forehead haha, so this is what I came up with instead!

NYX FACE Awards: Mermaids Mermen

Hey guys!

I’m a little late with this post, I didn’t have a whole lot of time in the break to do much as far as ‘creative’ makeup goes so I wasn’t able to get this up on time but I have it here now and I hope that you enjoy!

pink-divider-no-background-md

So the theme of this challenge was Mermaids and Mermen and I did think about possibly doing a merman makeup look but then I had some other ideas and yeah. I actually was set on doing something completely different to what I ended up with! Today, I will be sharing with you my Futuristic – Galaxy Mermaid.

18

When I originally thought about it, I wanted to do a galaxy pattern on my forehead or around my eyes like a bit of a mask and incorporate bubble stars around my head but then I kinda felt like it had been done before so I thought, what about a mermaid from the future, a world where technology has really taken over and I thought it would be cool to do something natural in an unnatural setting. Well as natural as a mermaid can be, anyway. I don’t know if this is a totally original idea, I’m sure someone has thought about it before. I was heavily inspired by the Monster High doll Elle Eedee. She’s a robot and she’s going to be in the new Boo York Boo York movie and she’s definitely my favourite of the new dolls. I was even considering drawing on her little power button that sits between her eyebrows but I didn’t want to make a robot mermaid look so I stayed away from that.

215

So for the eyes, I went a little bit out of my comfort zone but still not very far. Honestly, I’d really like to do something really really wild but I get so nervous that I’ll just destroy what I’ve created so I don’t stray too far out of what I know that I’m capable of. I did a sort of halo eye look. I’m still not too certain about what qualifies as a halo eye but you’ll know when you see it. I just kept building shadows on top of each other, starting with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, a few Inglot eyeshadows and Ice Queen from Makeup Geek.

20

I still added dots that are meant to represent stars in my dark purple eyeshadow. I wanted a little galaxy flavour haha. And a line of white liner that runs from my water line out to a wing for the ‘Milky Way’ haha. In the centre of my lid I used NYX roll on shimmer in Platinum to make my eyelids pop and sparkle. I also used it on my inner corner, there was so much glitter going on. In the future, glitter will always be on trend.

19

It doesn’t show up much in the photos but I do have some purple side burns because I tried to contour with purple and it basically looked like a line of zinc had been drawn on my face and I couldn’t blend it out for the life of me but it didn’t really hinder any photos so I suppose it wasn’t a total failure.

17

I think that in this world, humans know about the mermaids because it’s hard to hide anything with people recording everything that they see and documenting life with such ease. With the world forever changing and creatures forever adapting, merfolk can now switch between their fishy tail and a nice set of legs so that they can live in either environment. You wouldn’t be able to tell who’s a merperson either because everyone has gone all Capitol and everyone wears crazy makeup and dresses up because everyone is creative and likes to express themselves.

22

I hope that you enjoyed this post and hopefully with the next challenge, I can really push myself to be as creative as possible. I hope that you have a fantastic day!

MOTD: Emilia Clarke Inspired

I have been lusting over this gorgeous makeup for a very long time and I’d always wanted to try it. Seeing as I’d just received the NYX white liquid liner from the USA, I thought it was the perfect time to give it a go and spread some love for my Khaleesi. Now I will preface this post by saying that white liner is much more unforgiving than black liner and I think it will take me a bit of time to get used to doing it but I will still share my attempts haha.

This is the look that I was inspired by:

eyeliner (1)

So here is my attempt at this look:

11650859_10153218220232530_1177088043_n                                               11536987_10153218219917530_581483553_n
For the eyes, I used Shiro Cosmetics Alpaca Picnic from the New Leaf collection, I’ll be writing a review of the collection in the next week or two. I blended it in with Shiro Cosmetics Little Bird and a few medium brown eyeshadows. I used Too Faced’s Marzipan from the Chocolate Bar Palette to highlight the inner third of the eye. As I mentioned earlier, I used NYX White Liquid Liner to line my eyes. Initially, I drew quite a thin line on my lid and then when the white drowned out my lashes, I applied falsies and it completely covered the line and this is where I really went wrong haha. I tried my best to draw a line again beside the lashes but even though I moved the lashes out of the way, they still managed to get some eye liner on them. I had to do two layers of liner to make it very opaque and one eye had a more opaque wing than the other. Hopefully my next attempt will be more successful!
