October was a big month for me and I’m so thrilled that it is done and dusted and I can move on to the best month of the year, November (a.k.a. birthday month). This month, I finished and submitted my thesis and I started my new job, and because of this, I haven’t really got many favourites this month. In fact, I’ve only got one beauty product! Regardless, I hope that you enjoyed October and enjoy this favourites post!
1. My Thesis
After all of the complications that I had writing this, I’m honestly so happy that it’s over and so proud of what I produced this year. I’m really happy with how the thesis turned out and hopefully it’ll be good enough for me to get a scholarship to do a PhD! If you’d like to read it, I’ve uploaded it to academia.com! Please don’t tell me if you find an error hahaha!
2. Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum
I’ve been using this for a few months but I’d been using it quite regularly in October and I was really seeing some great results. This product really smooths out the skin and makes it feel really soft. You do really have to be dedicated to wearing sunscreen though (as you should every day) because this does make your skin photosensitive. I’m almost out of it now and during the next Priceline 40% off of skin care sale, I might just need to pick this one up again.
3. American Horror Story Roanoke
I didn’t know what to think of this season of American Horror Story. We weren’t shown any previews or stills before the show aired, besides an assortment of extremely cryptic 10 second videos that still don’t really make too much sense to me and we’re more than half way through the season at this point. I am really enjoying the season so far. I don’t really like the whole documentary style that the first half of the season followed, I’d have preferred to just see the story in a more traditional style but I am liking how it’s changed since episode 6. I’m really excited to see where the rest of the season takes us!
4. High School Musical Soundtracks 1-3
I KNOW how this looks haha. I can’t even begin to tell you how reserved I’ve been about admitting this but I genuinely didn’t listen to any other music this month. I think because I was adulting so hard with my thesis completion and getting a new job, I needed to feel a bit like a kid again haha. HSM played a big part in my pre-teen years and singing along to the songs was really enjoyable this month. I think the songs I enjoyed in particular were “I Want It All”, “Night to Remember”, “I Just Wanna Be With You” and “Bet on It”.
October was a hectic month and an exciting month. I can’t wait to see what November has in store!
