I love finding soaps that I just adore. I don’t really have a particular type of soap that I go for but I do tend to reach more more natural, earthy scents rather than super duper sweet scents (I’m lookin at you, Snow Fairy). I thought it would be good to share a few soaps from brands that you may never have heard of but you totally need. I hope that you enjoy this post!
1. Harvest Garden – Sweet Orange & Cinnamon with Saffron
I received this soap in a gift bag when I went to the Bloggers United event in February and I reached into the bag to smell this and I just fell in love. It has a very natural smell. It doesn’t smell artificial at all, to me. I love cinnamon scents and this one is very spicy smelling. It actually kinda reminds me of my Grandpa and on the website it says that it is a favourite with men. Sweet Orange essential oil is known to stimulate lymph fluids which may assist in relieving swollen tissue. Cinnamon is known to be hot and stimulating. Traditionally it has been used to generate warmth and relieve pain. And the saffron is used to colour the soap, although my soap isn’t very orange/yellow. It leans more on the green side.
The soap is $7 and you can purchase it from here!
2. Shanghai Lil and the Scarlet Fez – Odalisque
Odalisque is a creamy lemony soap that feels very luxurious on the skin. It doesn’t quite lather like my other soaps but it would work great on a loofah. This soap is brimming with luscious skin-conditioning oils including olive oil, cocoa butter, olive pomace and apricot and peach kernel oils. It is coloured with French pink clay! There’s nothing better than a natural, vegan, cold pressed soap from a local brand! I cut my soap in half so that I can get more use out of it and less chance of it falling and getting damaged.
The soap is $8.50 and you can purchase it from here!
3. LUSH – Yog Nog
Now, I’m sure you’ve heard of LUSH’s Yog Nog before. Yog Nog is one of those scents that I just fall for so quickly. I’ve said this before but it’s just not Christmas without Yog Nog. This is a Christmas exclusive so I basically cry until it’s Christmas again so that I can purchase it and use it throughout November/December.
4. The Goat Skincare – Chamomile Soap
This soap is a newer love of mine. I use this soap to clean my makeup brushes and BOY does it do a good job. I was using so many different products and it never really did the job well enough. This soap leaves your brushes squeaky clean and you won’t need to use any oils to get your makeup off. It is just amazing.
The soap is $3.50 and you can purchase it from here!
I hope that you are having a wonderful day!
