5 Ways to Have a Better Morning

Hey guys!

I don’t tend to be much of a morning person thanks to my Honours sleep schedule being pretty hectic but I do know a few ways that you can make your mornings a little bit better and make for a great start to what will be a great day! I’ve decorated this post with stock images to help you have an even better reading experience~

1. Go to sleep at a reasonable hour

We all know when we should be going to bed to get a good night’s rest. I know we all have different schedules so that means going to bed and getting up at different times. So long as you’re getting at least 8 hours of sleep, you’ll have a much better start to the day. At least I can say you’re probably not going to wake up feeling like your head’s been run over by a truck!

2. Eat breakfast

There’s nothing better than having an exciting and filling breakfast. I like to have quick oats because they’re yummy and they’re ready in 90 seconds. They’re perfect for me because I have a very short amount of free time after getting ready in the mornings! If you can find the breakfast that’s right for you (be it coffee, a smoothie, cereal, or a massive breakfast), you’ll set yourself up for a much better morning. At least you won’t look like the people in those Snickers ads.

3. Plan your day the night before

If you already have a routine set up, then you’re already on the right track. Making your morning less stressful is so important and if you plan things the night before, like what clothes to wear, what breakfast to eat, what route to take to work, you’ll be more efficient and much happier! Even if you aren’t doing anything much that day, planning what you might do is a super great way to prepare yourself.

4. Listen to your favourite bubbly tunes while you get ready for the day

This is my favourite way to start the day. When I’m getting ready in the morning, I always put some music on so that I can sing along and forget about the sleep that I could be having had I not had to get up early for class. It just puts me in a good mood. I forget about the rest of the world, it’s just me, in my bathroom, putting on my makeup or doing my hair. It’s the best way to get yourself pumped for the day.

5. Read some of your favourite blogs

When I’m on public transport to my destination, I love to catch up on some of the posts made by my favourite bloggers. Some of my favourite bloggers are Styling Curvy, Procrasticaitlan, Zoe’s Beauty Escape, The Dining Diaries, and Finger Candy!
