January Favourites!

Hey guys!

Welcome to my first monthly favourites post! I never used to make monthly favourites posts but this year I wanted to make the commitment to making a favourites post for each month of 2016 (at least), just to change up my blog a little bit. Let me know if you like these types of posts! This will be mainly beauty related but I will talk about a few miscellaneous things as well. I hope that you enjoy this!

My first favourite is the LUSH Lord of Misrule Shower Scream!

I’m actually surprised how much I enjoy this product. This was a Christmas exclusive last year and I picked one up on sale on Boxing Day. I only bought a little bottle because I didn’t remember being particularly fond of the fragrance but now I wish I’d bought a bigger bottle. I used to love the bath bomb with the same scent and I think I might love the body wash more because it has a bit of a She-Hulk effect in the shower. When you rub the wash over your skin, it leaves a little bit of green residue behind that washes off but for a little bit, you turn into a beautiful and strong creature, feared by all other shower friends.

My second favourite is the LUSH Mask of Magnaminty!

I mentioned this in my skincare routine but this is my favourite LUSH mask. I adore the scent and I think it really works on my skin. The scent reminds me of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, which happens to be my favourite flavour. I pretty much never want this mask to run out because I feel like I need it in my life forever.

My third favourite is MAC Velvet Teddy!

I have been getting a lot of use out of this lipstick since I first wore it on my Mum’s birthday. I didn’t realise how much I was missing out by not having this shade! I think it would really suit just about anyone and if you’ve been umming and ahhing about it, just do it. I doubt very much that you’d regret it!

My third favourite(s) are the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows!

I have grown a particular fondness for the shades Peach Smoothie, Mocha and Day Dreamer. These shades are another one of those items where I don’t know why I didn’t jump on to the hype train sooner. I avoided Peach Smoothie because I couldn’t see myself wearing such a warm toned neutral shade but it has been surprisingly useful. And Mocha was that deep brown shade that my palette really needed. Day Dreamer has been a really fun colour for me to apply to my inner corner as a pop of colour highlight. I can’t get enough of these shades!

My fourth favourite is Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever!

This one was probably no surprise to a lot of you seeing as I made a post dedicated to this product. I can’t get enough of the smell and it’s been my signature summer scent all through January. I have no doubt that the same will be said for February haha.

My fifth favourite is the song Papaoutai by Stromae!

Over the last few months I’ve been really searching for more French music to listen to now that my degree is over and I won’t be studying the language anymore and throughout January, Papaoutai was just replayed and replayed both on my Spotify and in my head haha. It is so catchy. I love Stromae a lot and I’m glad that he’s getting a lot more attention in the English-speaking music world.

My sixth and last favourite is the instagram account vonmunster!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I want to feature one instagram account per month that I’ve been loving and I really wanted that first one to be my buddy Shannen! Her posts are consistently gorgeous and she has such a funny and relatable personality. You won’t regret following her account and I’d also recommend her blog!

I hope that you all enjoyed my favourites posts!
