Seeing as Priceline are having their 40% off skincare sale today and tomorrow, I thought it was a good idea to talk about what I do to keep my skin in tip top shape. Since switching up my skincare for cleaner products, I thought I’d talk about what I’ve been using to clean my skin and keep it in good condition. I mainly stick to one brand but I change it up for products that I use every other day. In case you are unaware, my skin is quite sensitive and it is prone to blemishes from hormones and from excess oil production. My routine caters to that so if you have a similar skin type, I hope that you find this useful!

In the morning, I like to wash my face with the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser. A lot of the products that I use are from the Burt’s Bees Sensitive line. This product moisturises sensitive skin while gently cleansing away dirt, oil and make-up without over drying or causing redness. I squeeze out a dollop into my hand and apply it to my damp face. What I like about Burt’s Bees is that they tell you what percentage of natural ingredients are used in their products. This product is 99% natural and on Think Dirty, it is rated a 5, in the half and half section.
After cleansing, I use LUSH’s Tea Tree Toner Water. This product is extremely soothing and is designed for troubled or oily skin. I spritz this on my face and then apply my moisturiser but if I am not wearing any makeup that day, I’ll use this throughout the day as a freshen up. It is perfect for toning the skin and cooling you down in this hot weather that we’re having here in Australia. This product is a 9 on Think Dirty, which makes it a Dirty product. If anyone can recommend a good toner that is a clean or at least half and half rating, let me know!
After toning, I like to use the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Daily Facial Moisturiser because it is thin and it makes my skin nice and prepared for makeup that I might apply that day. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. This product is 99% natural and has a rating of 2 on Think Dirty.
As a daily lip balm, I use the Burt’s Bees Vanilla lip balm. I have no complaints about this product. It leaves my lips nice and moisturised and it is the perfect primer to the lipsticks that I wear. This product is 100% natural and it is a 2 on Think Dirty! Nice and clean!

I take off my makeup with the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towlettes but I don’t think that I really recommend them. They aren’t moist enough and I find that they don’t take off all of my makeup. This isn’t really an issue for me though because I use a cleanser right after and that takes away all of the left over makeup. This product is 99.1% natural and is rated a 5 on Think Dirty. If anyone has a good recommendation that is more moist than these towlettes, let me know!
After I finish with the towlettes, I use the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser again to clean my face of anything left on my face and prepping my skin for the good that I’m about to put on it.
After cleansing, I use LUSH’s Tea Tree Toner Water again before I put any of the fun stuff on!
In the shower, I like to use a mask and this one is one of the best. I’ve been using LUSH Mask of Magnaminty, this mask smells just like Mint Choc Chip ice cream and it is just heavenly. It makes my face feel really nice after and is probably the only mask that I feel actually does something for my skin. This product contains China clay and bentonite gel that will pull the dirt from your pores, ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds that exfoliate surface skin cells, and peppermint oil that will make you feel so fresh and minty. This product is rated a 9 on Think Dirty because it contains perfume, which I really hate about LUSH products. LUSH products smell nice but it isn’t exactly ideal for those with sensitive skin. Thankfully I don’t use this product daily and it hasn’t hurt my skin.
Recently, I’ve been using the Swisse Makuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask once a week and I haven’t been disappointed. This mask is supposedly a dupe or a near dupe for the Glam Glow masks. It draws out impurities and makes for some very funny selfies when this mask has dried. This mask is 98.8% natural and it doesn’t yet have a rating on Think Dirty because it is both fairly new and Australian. I would recommend giving this a go if you can find it. It tends to be cheaper at Chemist Warehouse.
After using a mask, I tend to use a moisturiser just to make sure that my skin is properly moisturised. Neither of my masks have moisturising properties, or at least I don’t feel they do. I definitely feel that it is necessary to put on a night cream so that my skin can repair over night. For this, I use the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Night Cream. This product is a little bit thicker than the day cream from the same line and it softens the skin without leaving a greasy film. I love this product and I would recommend a night cream to anyone. This product is 99% natural and is rated a 5 on Think Dirty.
Another important step in my routine is a good eye cream. The eye cream that I use is the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Eye Cream. Not much to say about this other than it has reduced any eye bags that I once had and has prevented dark circles. It keeps my eye area nice and soft and it has never made the skin crackly or irritated. I’ve never really had an issue with my eye area but I like to look after it because the skin is very thin and delicate. This product is 99% natural and is rated a 5 on Think Dirty.
Lastly, I like to keep my lips nice and moisturised over night by applying the LUSH Honey Trap lip balm. This uses all natural ingredients and unfortunately isn’t on Think Dirty yet but I believe it would be a clean product or at worst, half and half because it contains only natural ingredients and doesn’t not contain perfume (thank you). I had previously been using the Nuxe Reve De Miel but it contains UV protector ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate that has been linked to hormonal diseases so I thought I’d best stop using it because it isn’t worth the risk!
Thank you so much for reading through my skin care routine! I hope that you found it to be informative and entertaining!
