On Saturday, I attended a French picnic! My class and a first year French class were asked to cook food either from France or from a francophone (French-speaking) country. My class made French food, so we had to pick a food from a region and write about it and then make it on the day of the picnic! I looked at the region of Burgundy and I chose to make Gougères, which are like little choux pastry cheesy puffs. They are vegetarian and they are very more-ish. I will have both the recipe written in both French and English, in this post. I hope that you enjoy them if you make them 🙂

Also, that day was the day that we heard about the attacks in Paris, so I just wanted to mention it here. There were also a lot of other awful things going on in Mexico, Lebanon, and other places too. We’re living in pretty scary times. There is going to be a vigil in Unley tomorrow if anyone is in the area and wants to go. You can find out more of the details here.
