MOTD/OOTD: New Year’s Eve

I can’t believe how quickly 2014 finished! I felt like I was busy, right up until the last day! I thought that I’d share my last makeup look and outfit of 2014 with you! I tried to do something a little bit different and because my camera isn’t all that great, it didn’t photograph well. But this year I’m going to be working on that so that in the future, I will be able to post better quality posts.

Here’s the look:

The bit that didn’t photograph well was the glitter eyeliner. It just looks like I’m wearing old lashes that I didn’t take the glue off of! I did my black eyeliner a little bit thicker than normal, and then layered a gold glitter liner and spread it out thinly across the black base. It looked really cool in person and I was really excited about it! It’s just a shame that it didn’t turn out for the photos.

I used the Coastal Scents Revealed 1 and 2 palette for the eyes and I used NYX Butter Lipstick in Hunk for the lips.

Here’s the outfit:

I felt a little bit like a potato-grandma in this outfit haha. The cardigan was the only one that I’d brought and the dress is a size too big for me but I love them both. The black dress has flower pieces all of the dress so I thought that they would work well together. And Mum found a golden unicorn pin in her jewellery box and I asked if I could wear it for the night because its really really cute!

I hoped you enjoyed the last day of the year and I wish you the very best for the new year!
